    The Trip
Supreme Court      The many hours on the road and on the cold streets of Washington can be tiring, but through their experiences many marchers have gained a deeper sense of solidarity with the unborn and with the pro-life cause.
Our marchers will board Anderson Coach & Travel motor coaches, at St. George Chuch & School, 5145 Peach St., Erie, on Thursday evening, January 18. (Please park along the periphery of the parking lot, filling the spaces along the north and east edges of the parking lot first.)
Our group will arrive at the East Falls Church Metro Station in Arlington, Virginia at approximately 7:00 a.m. Smithsonian Metro Station, the station closest to the March for Life Rally site and the beginning of the March itselt, is an approximtely 20-minute ride on the Metro from the East Falls Church Station. More specific information and instructions for using the Metro will be included in handout that each marcher will recieve before leaving the bus.
At the end of the day, our marchers will return by Metro to the East Falls Church Station, where their buses will be waiting. The Capitol South Metro Station, where the marchers will catch the Metro for the return trip to East Falls Church, is just south (the end of the March.

    Basic Schedule
The March for Life will begin with a Rally on the National Mall at noon.
Our buses will depart for Erie at 5:15 p.m.
We will return to Erie early Saturday morning, January 20 at approximately 2:00 a.m., depending on traffic and road conditions. The bus trip squeezes the entire March for Life experience into about 27 hours!

    Places to Visit
Although united by a common cause, People for Life's marchers are a diverse group, drawn from all across northwestern Pennsylvania. When they arrive in Washington, they will divide into smaller groups, or set off on their own, and spend the morning visiting various points of interest in our nation's capitol.
Points of special interest include government sites such as the Capitol Building, White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Wall; the March for Life headquarters and exhibits at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill; the United States Holocaust Museum; and National Right to Life's headquarters at 512 l0th Street NW. National Right to Life is right across the street from Ford's Theater, where Lincoln was assassinated, and next door to the Petersen House, where Lincoln died.

    Peace of Mind
You won't need to worry if you are unfamiliar with Washington or not with a group of friends. Your bus captain will review everything you need to know, and you will have an opportunity to join a small group that will be guided throughout the course of the day by one of People for Life's many March for Life veterans.
Occasionally someone will express concerns about security during the March, for themselves or other family members. The March for Life is an entirely peaceful and orderly event that is suitable for people of all ages (who are in good health and able to stand for extended periods and walk the mile-or-so route of the march), including families and small children. There is, in fact, a palpable sense of community, joyfulness, and optimism, and this has become an enduring hallmark of the March for Life.

    Congressional Meetings
A reception sponsored by pro-life U.S. Senator Pat Toomey and pro-life members of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation (including Congressmen Mike Kelly and Glenn "GT" Thompson who represent the Erie-area) will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in Room 2247 of the Rayburn Senate Office Building. All Pennsylvanians are invited to attend the reception when they finish the March.

    Sponsorships
Students and others on tight budgests are encouraged to inquire about sponsorships. If you would like to help sponsor one or more deserving individuals (someone to attend the March for Life in your place, perhaps), your donation will be very much appreciated!
